Every Flight Attendant Should Bring These Items
The essential packing list for cabin crew—and helpful things for passengers
I’m almost a year into the flight attendant career, and this is certainly a job you learn fast. I quickly discovered several things that make either the work or the lifestyle much easier.
I’m the kind of person who needs to feel as prepared as possible, so I would’ve appreciated such a neatly-organized list during my research phase of the job. Considering the airline industry is still expanding, I imagine a lot of new hires and working crew will find this resource useful. (Other travelers can certainly benefit from these insights as well!)

Wristwatch
This is an FAA-required item. Each airline may have its own standards as far as uniform compliance, but the watch must also follow certain specifications. It must indicate seconds (either analog or digital), because in emergency situations, every second counts. Therefore, analog watches must have 3 hands, and must also have divisions for every hour—not just for 12, or 3/6/9/12—so there’s no room for ambiguity.
